    Late Wasserschutzpolizei belt buckle - original?

    I need some help about these one Wasserschutzpolizei belt buckle:
    It is period produced? Any disadvantages?

    Nice looking buckle. I have had a couple of CTD steel Water Police Buckles. I love the wide tab but it is strange to see a 43 dated tab. It least it looks like 1943.

      I'm also worried with 1943 in the buckle tab.

        I think the tab makes it harder to find. I think they were just using up their stock of tabs. This was most likely produced in very early 1943.

          Yes its possible.

          I have a theory. Look at the last number 3. Stamp mark is considerably thicker than the number 1,9,4.
          Perhaps this belt buckle was also with the tab produced during occa 1942, and stored in the warehouses. In 1943 figure 2 was simply reworked in 3?

            I have another question.
            Is there any exemplar of CTB belt buckle with leather tab dated 1942?
            Or CTD buckle (except water police buckle 1943 tab) with leather tab dated 1943?

              Doing a quick search I found 2 more CDT Watch Police with 43 dated tab with a stronger stamp of the 3. Did find a Regular Police with a 42 dated tab.
