    Tropical Belt/Buckle Combos

Here's a new addition to my collection. A nice Heer Tropical belt/buckle. The belt and buckle have been together since the vet aquired it. It was a minty looking combo when it was first brought back but the vets son had many a fun day playing with it. Later when the son became a teenager and had lost interest, his father found it under his house which is the last place his son had put it..Nice overall patina...
    Let's see some more...

The belt has some very faint marks but a long way from being legable..

Maker of the buckle I mean.
If there is one it could be in front of the catch or under the prongs.

              Hi Perry.....

Here is a belt buckle and tab that I have owned since 1979. That makes it oldest piece in my collection. it has a bit of a story as to how I came by it.

In the late 70's I lived with two brothers and a mutual pal in the brother's dad's house (where they grew up) that he had owned since the early 50's. I lived 4 blocks up the hill from them (since the late 40's).

Dad had remarried and was moving to Minnesota with his wife, but before he left he called to talk to Steve the older of the brothers and to let him know to dispose of the belongings of his that were still in the basement or to keep what he wanted out of them. Steve asked me if I wanted second pick as his brother wasn't interested.....so I said sure, why not.

During our digging through the boxes we found this belt buckle and some AH stamps. My friend kept the stamps and I got the buckle. That is when Steve told me how his dad had fought in France and we figured that that was where he came by his souvenirs.
