Moved here about 6 weeks ago and doing a gun show tomorrow to try and see if there is interest in doing a WW1/WW2 military show in Knoxville.
Went to the neighbor's house for his garage sale. Asked if there were any guns and he said "Maybe a .30-30". I said no, I collect military firearms and then I mentioned German WW2 stuff. He says his wife has some stuff and some German money.
Here's what he hauled out and after an hour and a half conference with his wife, I got these. I have enough WW2 German Heer belt buckles, so I said that I would try to sell it for him tomorrow at the gun show for $150. It is a 1915 leather belt with the maker's name above the date '1915'. The size is a 95.
The other buckle is a FRONT HEIL buckle with no maker. Is it FREIKORPS or DER STAHLHELM. I gave him $75 for it , as I knew where it came from and I didn't have to worry about a repro buckle. Did I overpay?
Thanx,
Tim
