    N&H 1942 Heer buckle

    Hello,
I saw this one in an antique shop today. It's marked as tropical (though I'm not sure it is), I guess because of the shade of green, and they are asking $75 for it. I did a search and see these aren't hard to find, so wanted to ask:

    - Is it original? There were a lot of fake things in the shop but this looked okay to me.
    - Is it tropical?
    - Is it worth $75

    Thank you,
    Dale

Nice original buckle, not tropical but it could be used in a tropical front, IMO $75 is a fair price

I can't see the front shots but if it has most of it's paint $75 is a decent price. Most collectors don't consider a Heer buckle as tropical unless it has a web tab. Dealers like to call them tropical if they are a lighter shade of green. Same thing with dealers calling every blue black Heer buckle Costal Artillery.
