Apologies if this is not the right place, wondering how you guys display your buckles? Do you prefer a deep case like are used for medals ?

I don't display my buckles anymore, but when I did, I used Riker mounts. If you're not familiar with them, they are made of thick cardboard with a piece of glass fixed on the front. Inside is a soft material, which gently pushes the housed buckle(s) against the glass. The materials used in their construction are inert, so they won't harm the buckles over time. I modified mine with picture wire, so I could hang them on the wall. Keep in mind that the ones used for buckles are bit deeper than those used for other things, like medals and small specimens. I believe I used the 1 1/4" deep versions. The smaller ones can house about eight buckles without tabs, or about four with. That size costs about $7 each and looks rather nice, in my opinion.
Here is a photo of some of my buckles inside a Riker mount from when I had them displayed (keeping in mind that the glass top is removed here):Attached Files
