the low dollar has afected prices lately and I have not seen brocades on the "regular" market lately ( regular meaning; not the "crazy" dealers) but the last police brocades in used condition ( no buckle) I saw at the Max where around 1200 dollars. (I am selling one for 1000 Euro) This gives you an idea.

Is your response actually confirming that Gregs' police brocade with buckle, are all perfectly sound and original?

                  Regards,

Yes David, The brocade is OK as is the buckle but the last one is NOT an SS police buckle.

SS Police buckles are SS marked. This does not exclude the use of regular police buckles by the SS police. From personal experience I have noticed that on confirmed original “always been together” sets, regular buckles used on SS brocades are always originally sown to the brocade wile SS brocades with removable buckles always have a SS marked buckle. Also, if I confirm this brocade as original, I do not confirm this to be an SS police brocade. The picture is not clear enough to confirm the color to be 100 % police green. I believe it is but it could be a waffen SS.

Just happened to see today the same belt and buckle with olc 36, no runes on buckle on the site of helmut weitze, so this must exist without ss runes, I have learned that there is no 100% of anything is nazi stuff.
