    Unmarked Overhoff SS and Belt.

Hi guys, I post this for an interested party who thinks its a fake
It was found in the house of a deceased Polish lady who came to London after the War, she told neighbours her husband had worn it in the German 'Army'.
I am happy it's a great conditioned unmarked Overhoff with a suitable belt.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.
    Cheers - Greg

I showed this set to Gary Wood yesterday (Mod on SS Forum) who said that the slight yellow tinge is nicotine, the set does smell strongly of smoke.
I will probably keep this set so I am after some help, what would the advice be from the experienced collectors, is it appropriate to give it a gentle clean in soap and water?
I know people do this with badges, also the leather is slightly cracked, is there anything I should do to preserve the leather, such as applying polish or oil?
Forgive me if the questions appear stupid, I am a badge and insignia collector mainly,
                    Thanks for any advice.
                    Cheers - Greg
