Willem is a respectable seller, I have bought often in his web page and always without problems but I am surprised that in his last update has offered three fake buckles :
    -The LW Trop
    -The SS officer
    -The OLC Heer
I am sure that it has been a mistake
    Regards
    Iván

I believe the buckle is good original, and the tab is a very late type rarely seen.

      I would purchase this buckle.
      Really ?

This is the most known and the most easily detectable fake.

I would agree with Ivan. Having met Willem and bought from him in the past I would find it hard to believe that this would be on purpose. He has a vast and varied inventory, it's difficult to be an expert on everything, perhaps buckles are his weak point. It's best to know your subject, or ask for second opinions, regardless of who the dealer is.

However, since being (very recently) sold it seems to have been removed from the website, which is unusual.

It was marked "JFS" on the back. I have a cheap fake (bought on the WAF Bazaar section for about $20), to which it looked identical to me.
I did not see a JFS marking on the buckle when it was listed. Hmm interesting.

Been collecting for a while and sold a couple hundred buckles but I never ran across a fake buckle like that!

Search Big Berry and you will find sixteen threads. You will also find these stamped JFS, A A&S, Dr. Franke and some are unmarked. A lot of these are painted tropical colors. I have also seen them with fake web tabs and both original and fake leqather tabs. I am sure you have come across a few of these and just didn't know what to look for.

I warned last Friday about this fake buckle to Willem.
Willem has this deduction also immediately removed from his site,
It is rare that William fake buckle sales on he's site.

                    lw buckle

                    Hello Guys
Sorry about the LW buckle but i had the same one for years in my collection , and this was the same one thougt is was real .
I removed it from my site and mailed the buyer that is is a fake one .
I also removed the SS officier buckle and gave it back to the owner.

Some times i make mistakes to , i am always a collector myself .
                    Thanks Willem
