    HJ Complete Rig, Opinions Please??

Just wanted to get your guys opinions on an HJ complete rig that is listed on a dealer's site. The dealer states that the buckle is marked "RZM K.H. 25.". The cross strap is marked with maker and RZM with DRGM stampings. (see pics.) The set is little high, but I need a matched set to complete a mannequin display. Sorry, I'm using the pictures from the dealer's site. They're not the best. Much thanks in advance guys!!

The item overall and in toto looks fine to me, although the mention of a "matched" set is a slight puzzle. I am not quite sure what you mean by this, insofar as there is no obvious connection between the buckle and the leather fittings, by manufacturers or date. If so, then that would be what I regard as "matched". Also, the buckle actually pre dates the metal fittings, although a usual and quite acceptable feature.

A standard and quite normal combination however of an early (chromed?) buckle by Noelle und Hueck, with a probably original waist strap and slightly later issued, cross strap.

The condition overall as fine, although as you are aware, the buckle catch has at some point been repaired.

An early rig and with quite unusual and desirable buckle markings, although otherwise, I cannot really see any reason for paying "highly" towards what is still, a reasonably common item per se and certainly, not "matched" by my definition.

      Regards,

      David

Thanks Glenn! I can't believe how hard it is to find cross staps and belts. I have been looking for an early chocolate brown SA belt to finish a brown shirt, for quite a while. PM or email me at mseag@charter.net. Take care.
