    NOWA Buckle?? Fake??

    I'm obviously no buckle expert. Got this for $2 at a garage sale. Saw it and for $2, I had to pick it up. Marked "NOWA" on the back. What is strange is it's aluminum, with what looks like coppper a disk that was there before it was stamped. Totally bogus piece? Thanks. Take care.

      Hello Tim,

      I would not immediately consider this buckle as a fake. I have in my collection a similar buckle with markings FKO. Although I have no further information on this type of buckle I don’t see the purpose to fake a roundel and ad it to an existing original buckle… Too bad yours is broken; but for $2…. You don’t risk much.
