    Luftwaffe Parade belt and buckle

Hi all, picked up this set (with zinc buckle and patent leather belt) from Malcolm Wagner militaria in the UK:-

    http://www.malcolmwagner.co.uk/

A little bit of history with it:-

"Parade belt was purchased in Bavaria by a colleague of mine from a family whose grandfather had served in the Luftwaffe during the war ,and had sadly passed away a few years back"

No makers mark on the buckle or the leather, just a size marking on the leather belt (105cm). I think I've seen Parade belts with ink stamped makers marks on the inside, I assume these can wear off eventually? If anyone can identify the buckle maker I'd be very interested. As it came from a family I'm assuming that there is a good chance that it has always been together.

Also, in terms of dating it I'm thinking 1937 (2nd pattern eagle) to 1939/ 40 on the assumption that Parade belts were discontinued as the war kicked in, perhaps continuing to be worn around the barracks or for walking-out dress. If anyone can confirm or correct my assumptions I'd be grateful!

    Hope you like it!

    Regards, Paul

          Nice set
About the private purchase buckles (also called "parade buckles" or "two piece buckles"), although they were not for combat use, sometimes they are ground dug today in WW2 battle fields...
