Assmann HJ on E-stand

Is there something wrong with this crank catch buckle currently on sale in the e-stand section. It keeps getting cheaper ( sorry - "less expensive" ), but no takers.

It looks like an original buckle, but it seems to have been heavily rusted and then cleaned on the front.
