    Army buckle, afrika korp?

Hello all. This buckle has some green paint on it and I was wondering if it would be afrika korp? This buckle is steel and the tab is dated 1940. Any insight appreciated. Thanks, Hayden.

Standard Richard Sieper & Söhne Lüdenscheid Heer buckle, from 1940.

I agree with Schlange; the buckle is an original by Sieper, but not necessarily DAK. It could have been used in Africa, but no Heer buckle is considered tropical/DAK unless it has a webbed tab.

you can also ask yourself if this buckle could have been worn by Erwin Rommel.

The answer is yes but, is the probality high ? no...

          Sorry, I am cheating you.

The color of a Heer buckle is just depending on the supplier used by the manufacturer and is not a criteria of AK story.
