As Jack says, the second buckle looks like a nice original. The best way to learn the difference is to closely study the design of the eagle. Look especially closely at the head and feathers.

Michael, check pinned thread about fake buckles. There are few there like the first one you posted with different markings. Also compare ears of two buckles.
