S A with double - RZM and UE markings

This is chaps and without being overly theatrical, the most interesting and possibly the most important SA buckle that I hold.

It is I think exciting enough to have a brass SA with a clear RZM mark, although this one has a UE stamp on an inner wing.

The first time that I have ever seen this quite in simpatico brace of markings.

All for Berg u. Nolte. of course

    Regards,

    David

I know that in relation to SA buckles, I am capable of being the spectre at the feast (have you ever been to a party where some oik wants to show you his holiday photographs, discuss his medical history or even worse, talk about Manchester United Football Club).

This buckle though, or rather the markings on this buckle, has always been one that myself and others thought and in theory could be in existence, however had never seen. Now, another piece of the jigsaw fitting in place towards our research and understanding of a particular group of mass produced buckles.

I suppose to any Forum member who say collects Wehrmacht buckles, they must be wondering what all the fuss is about.

The irony here however was this buckle was bought purely for the roundel design and with the bonus of a RZM mark and no mention by the person parting with this buckle, that a UE mark was in situ.

It may be worth checking your SA's chaps and in particular, those marked with a RZM as it would be absolutely brilliant for other UE marks to be discovered, now that we know they are in existence.

            Regards,

            David
