    H J - two piece construction/dished back

An early and slightly unusual construction HJ, by I assume Berge und Nolte.

I further assume that the dished back box is a former Imperial period type that has been effectively utilised by the company, although the finish would appear chrome rather than nickle.

    Regards,

    David

        Great buckle David!!

Quite interesting to see how many variations Berg & Nolte produced in the early years!

Perhaps one of the crudest RZM stamps that we have ever seen?

I used to think that the seperate HJ roundels came from a single source maker and then, bought in by whoever wanted them.

          Obviously not so.

Attached is a converted DJ (seperately applied roundel) and when compared to the Berg & Nolte, appearing quite different.

Does anybody have any other seperate roundels for comparison?

          Regards,

          David

                    Top class buckle Chad!

I think that the otherwise standard roundel is quite different from the two that I have presented.

                    QED!

What I particually like is the "clean" conversion, as compared to mine which is a trifle messy.

                    Regards,

                    David
