Mint SA Buckle - Is it Real?

The pictures don't do this buckle justice. It is blindingly bright. Either it resided the last 60+ yrs in a time machine, or it is of more recent manufacture... I appreciate any opinions on this one.

It happens sometimes - a brass buckle which seems and for some unknown reason, to resist oxidisation and discolouration.

The SA buckle is original.

A slightly unsual eagle design and a super "dished back" to the box.

Great buckle.

I appreciate the authentification! It does amaze me that a buckle could stay in "assembly line new" condition for such a long period..and yours looks just as new..undoubtedly says a lot about the care that was taken with this souvenir! Your help is once again greatly appreciated!

Just for your minor interest, here again is the same roundel SA, however the brass box is a "flat" rather than "dished" back.
