Need a pic of the back, please.
The LW roundel is applied in suspect way...

      Hi Brus,

Here's a couple pictures of the backside. On the frontal picture one can denote a small hole around the 10 o'clock position. This can also be seen on the back. There's a is a scraping mark on the back that leads to the small hole. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

I think the buckle is original. It looks like the front was smashed and flattened.

Joseph Moll must have produced a lot of leather products. I have had a frog, holster and ammo pouch from this company.

Thanks for the responses guys. I bought the belt/buckle off of the son of a B-24 pilot. Supposedly they have been in his family since the war. I also bought a HJ dagger, which I posted in the dagger forum for examination, a Mauser HSc that's in really nice shape with the holster, and a K98 ammo pouch off of the gentleman. I'm about to start a thread in the equipment section to start a discussion about the ammo pouch.

              Thanks guys,

              Nate

Thanks for rear pic, it's an original buckle
Just a little bit messed up, prongs have been replaced with a hand-made piece.
About the roundel it seems to be sticked over another one... I mean on back pics the tabs are very solid, but on side pics I can't see tabs pass trough the box holes. IMO.
Probably the veteran did some works on this buckle.

                Regards
