Two piece WH buckle

Hello,

has anybody seen this variant before? It is a green peinted two piece Wehrmacht buckle. The green paint is 100% good!

First of these I've seen.

I'm no expert but I don't like the prongs.

I am very suspicious of it's whole appearance.

What is your concern towards the claws on this buckle?

The whole buckle looks perfectly fine to me, although Wehrmacht buckles are not my forte.

Attached is the reverse of a private purchase RAD which seems to display the same constructional features as Christians.

Hey, as I aid, I may be wrong and bloody well could be. I must check the prongs on mine when I get home. Maybe I am getting it confused with another I have seen.

Anyone out there know for sure?

The buckle looks fine to me, I have one such two part buckle in my colection with a tab but long not so good as yours Christian. Very nice buckle!! You know I love these WH buckles with all the paint.

Nothing to worry about that buckle, and as Marc said, they turn up once in a (very long) while. It's really a manufacturer's error, as the field grey duty pieces (Dienststücke) should be one-piece stamped, and the two-piece walking-out ones should be bright alu. Very desirable variation to my mind!

I have seen a few 2-piece parade buckles that are very well worn -- obviously seen some frontline duty.

I'm sure the buckle & paint is original. The paint is absolute the same as for one piece buckles.
