    Hello,

first the buckle is a very nice original .

IMO maker is Noelle&Hueck Lüdenscheid ,or Osang Dresden .

But when i think about , why that looks like aluminium one ?

Never see bevor such early nickel silver buckle with aluminium post sleeve and pin .......

Here to compare my N&H postschutz with nickel over steel post sleeve .

    And a Osang :

I can confirm that the prongs are the same material as the rest of the buckle, they are same colour as the other parts, I think that it is just the lighting that makes them look different.

There is however no sign that a leather tab has ever been there and the prongs seems to be made of aluminum. Is it normal by the Osang?
You definitely have a lot of questions....that's OK.

            1. I stand corrected on the maker as this is clearly an Assmann manufactured buckle.

            2. Not all Postschutz buckles came with tabs. I do not have rules/ regulations on this but I do not believe Postschutz buckles came from factory with the leather tabs. The Postal Defense Districts typically applied the tabs, with city designation stamp (some not), and then issued to soldiers.

            3. The buckle shown here was most likely manufactured in the later part of 1935. You may see some late 1935 nickel buckles with aluminum prongs and post-sleeve. Not sure if the buckle posted has actual aluminum fittings without having in hand.
