Well...between the four of us, we have matched Jean Pierre's 822/38 buckles photo. Mine, that has JP's is the center buckle in his photos with the skinny, tall SS runes that appear weak.
Jean Pierre - Of the three 822/38 buckle variants you've shown, which is the hardest to find?
Hi All,

Gary
Wrong, these are my buckles and my picture taken a few years ago (2001) when I cleaned out my collection! Again, a picture used without providing the information of to whom the items or the picture belong! Even if the buckles on this picture where sold afterwards, proper credit should still be given! Mr. R. is an expert in using other people collections to give him credibility. I will not remove such pictures any longer as they where originally intended to be posted on the forums but be aware that whatever Mr. R. post the question has to be ask, who do the picture or the buckles belong to!
As for the contract numbers of CT Dickeā¦
I am surprised with the above comments on the only one contract for the SS,
Did anyone ever think that the contract for the SS buckles and the SS Police buckles was a DIFEREND contract!!!! EVEN if the buckles where the same!! The SS buckles intended to be given to the POLICE have the SS police contract number on and the SS buckles for the Waffen SS have the SS contract number on!!!!! Never thought of this ???????
Just take your pills to treat your paranoia and give me a break! What is this fantasy to now believe you have not only a large collection but own all the SS Buckles or their photos in the world? Those photos are NOT yours and never been! They were taken with my EPSON scanner on December 7, 2003. If indeed the bottom buckle is one I bought from you for its weight of gold and left with your original tag (so my property at time this photo was taken), the two others were never in your hands! One is a direct familly vet purchase and the other was bought from Mr. Sellick in Ontario. Instead of some, I keep records of my purchases for future reference, each one with its own photo at time of reception. You do not even know what is your and what is not!! It would be nice for all of us if you start to know what you have, had, or have not and no longer need help of others to do the job for you. Not only the photos are not your but even the buckles are not !! You have all wrong my friend ... once more. To ease your humble pride, please know that "your" buckle is no longer in my hands (I found much nicer since, even two nicers) but I guess you are also going to jump on its owner if one day he takes photos of it and post them?
For SS contracts numbers, you are doing nothing, strictly nothing to look above your nose and you are talking about research? You are still thinking buckles are a stand alone feature in the vast web of the RZM and SS authorities, but they were not. Buckles, uniforms, leather equipment, edged weapons were all under the same rules and regulations. Many anwers you are still looking for are remaining within folders not bearing the word "Buckles" in golden letters. Research, did I heard research ??? Wait, I guess I heard a peacock outside ...
Garry,
I honestly cannot say one variant is the scarcer since I do not think any is scarcer than the other. I guess they were produced in somehow equal quantities.

The moderator.
I forgot. Yes, YOU think of this but not others since it has been proven to not have been the case. But I guess you need the right document to clear your mind, so I let you find it. Sorry if you do not have it ...
This is the very reason why I did not even mentionned this issue...

Now, Here is a buckle bearing the same marking as the buckle at bottom. Photo taken by the seller before its sale to J.P. Redeuilh along with its little sister from the same box. This buckle is now sold to a kind collector and is no longer part of my collection. The little sister is still.
My dog smelt it: also never been touched (or even seen) by Mr.Moderator

I am going to post others, including little sister of above and 822's with manufacture defects still in my collection, but not today. For today I am leaving peacocks to find whatever false input they can still find in their sick mind...
