    Droop tail Luft

Here is a belt/buckle set I lucked into at a local gun show (at a more than exceptable price!). I have been looking for a nice droop tail early Luftwaffe buckle for a good while and have passed up many because of poor condition and the typical excessive wear to the eagles head and torso. Really happy with this one and was happy to find out under close inspection that the buckle tab and belt are Luftwaffe marked..(is it called LBA usually?) but this is a longer string of letters/numbers that starts with "L" but does not appear to be followed by a "B"? (you can see the stamp on the "rough out" extension of the tab in the second pic) I will try to get more pics when I get good light..Thanks for any comments or info on this set! Kevin.

I call that a Condor Legion Buckle......but most worn examples show they were combat tested , and hard....don't pass on this type when the price is cheap....even if they have a lot of wear because that gives them character , besides they are getting tougher to find , but you were right to "scoop-la" on this pristine example.... it is a real beaut fo sho.
