Here's a buckle I've been searching for to add to my collection for quite some time. This particular maker does not show up for sale very often. I consider myself lucky when I stumbled onto this one late last week.
It has the maker mark "J.A.D." visible on the front of the buckle, located on the ribbon at the bottom of the wreath, where the two sides of the wreath come together at the "6 o'clock" are of the buckle "rondel" area.
The details on the center highlight area of the buckle are rather pronounced, which seems to be a characteristic of this maker as well.
All the Best,
Alan
