    Two more mobile swastika roundels.

Single stamped and pebbled nickle silver.

Often referred to a NSFK, although probably SA/NSKK.

    Regards,

    David

Three more SA roundels (apologies that one displays a "sunwheel").

          Regards,

            David,

This attached roundel, nickled silver NSKK buckle appears to be very close to the pattern in your Photo 6 (left, bottom) with the exception of the head details. I'm not sure if your eagle's mouth is open, as is mine? It would also appear that the head detail on mine shows more of a crow's peak on top of the head? Other than that, they look pretty close, don't you think?

            Very nice buckles David!!

            Regards,
            Gary

I think the roundels are essentially one and the same design, albeit with two quite different buckles.

The heads of the eagles do appear very slightly different, although I am sure that this is due to the angles of the photographs.

The distinctive "flick" at the back of the eagles head.

Have you noticed that the background to the swastika has a very light pebbled or stippled effect?

              Regards,

              David

                David,

Side by side, they do appear to be one and the same with the only differences being in the box color.

I hadn't noticed the pebbling to the field behind the swastika until you pointed it out. I don't really have that many SA or NSKK buckles to compare with, but the ones I do have are plain, smooth fields. Is the pebbling in this location an uncommon characteristic on these type buckles?

                Regards,
                Gary

In my opinion, the pebbling or stippled effect to the ground of the swastika, is no more than a makers variation or design.

No other significance, as per the "upright" swastika design SA.

                  Regards,

                  David

                        Another roundel.

This is probably one of the most unusual eagle designs that I have ever seen on a SA buckle.

Brass box of course, with the seperate roundel, originally having a silver wash. In addition, the obverse of the buckle with a dished back.

If anybody would like to see full images of this unusual SA, then please let me know and I will oblige.

                        Regards,

                        David
