    What does "SHuCo 40" stand for

    Dear Sirs.

    I recently got a alu belt bukle. It is stampet "SHuCo 40". Is it the maker and the year? And what does SHuCo stand for.

    What type of buckle - may the Forum have an image ?

    SHuCo - Sohni Huebach und Cie - Oberstein.

      Hi Jules, it is indeed the maker and year marking

      "40" is the year, 1940, and SHuCo is "Sohni, Heubach & Co". They were located at Oberstein and also produced awards, such as the IAB (I have one by them)plus were famous for making childrens tin plate toys.

        The belt bukle is notthing special - just af heer alu "Gott mit Uns" type.
