    Anybody an idea for that belt?

    Hi all,

    has anybody seen this belt before? What could it be? I'm open for everything!The photo is dated "Mai 1944".

    Hi Christian,
    The belt looks like a car seatbelt, but it probably is just something he picked up somewhere. Maybe a Norwegian "beute" (similar to the English word "booty") belt? Those mountains in the background look very Nordic to me.

      But it looks very strange...especially with that uniform!

          The belt on the picture is identical in every way to the Norwegian guard duty belt worn by the Royal Norwegian guard. Same belt was used by Quisling`s life guard (F******248;rergarden) but only during guard on the "Gimle" not in the field duty.
