SS Officer's Buckle & Belt - Opinions Please

I will freely admit, I am out of my league on these buckles. I have one for review. What say you on this fine piece? Thanks in advance.

Well, I can tell you that the buckle is a horrible reproduction.
I have no clue about the belt.

Thanks, I thought as much. Now, I know where to begin if I see one of these. It can't be too horrible a reproduction, or I would have known. Now if it was made of lead, that would be horrible.

Belt repro as well. Way too thick.

To me, it looks like it could very well be made out of lead, LOL!
The material sure isn't right, whatever it may be.

The cheap fake SS brocades are easily to spot. They look like a flat bicycle inner tire.

A good brocade, especially one made with gabardine as often seen for the police / waterschutz SS police and / or Waffen SS has the inside liner very tight.
