    No, an original one by Assmann having unfortunately all the paint worn off.

      Its my genuine Assmann lufty buckle that has been chrome plated, might have been used for dress parade purposes ?, looks to have ware after it was plated.

            Sorry about that, I have a lot to learn apparently. .
            I thought the catch and prongs looked similar to others deemed "fake".

            No offense intended . It's a shame someone chromed it.

                Characteristic catch, ears and pin assembly with curvature to the prongs...typical construction for these steel Assmann luft buckles

                  estand buckle.. repro?

                  I have a chrome plated Schmole and Co. Heer. I thought it was post war plated till I came across 2-3 others from the same company.
