Heer Belt & Buckle, Opinions Please..

    Hi Guys,

I've got this HEER Buckle marked SC 1940 attached to a 1935 Belt with the markings as I can read "Stuttgart" and "?" and "8. / J.R 631" or "63I"
Can anyone tell me where the belt comes from, what the "code" means and if it is possible/usual that a 1940 buckle is attached to a 1935 belt?

    Thx Fonzie

The buckle is made by Schmolle & Comp. Menden. It might of had a tab at one time. Someone should be able to tell you what the unit markings are. Belts get switched around all the time so it's not unusual to have different dates.
