HJ double marked

Hi, I'm looking at a nickel HJ buckle. It has two markers: A A&S and O.&C. ges. gesch. The dealer tells me it's an early ASSMANN. Why are there two markers?

I have one of these buckles also, you didnt post a pic of yours, but I think there is a thread about the one i have and it was vreified as GOOD by the foum members....do a search for HJ on the forum, the thread was only a few months ago...your buckle is most likely good...chad
