        Appears the double prongs barrel may have been scavenged from another buckle, and buckle body edges in the area pounded to fit the different size of length(note bent over sides being different ) and for the shaft looks like a nail was used for the replacement. What was the circumstances behind finding this one?? (was it a fleamarket find?) iT will make a dandy wearer AND WILL NOT offend anyone You may want to check the width opening to see if it still will accomodate the standard ww2 belt .
