Some are known unmarked in nickel silver, aluminum, steel and zinc. I can post photos for you.
Send those to jpredeu@videotron.ca writing "SS Buckle" in the subject field.

It is a common fake like this one where someone seems to have been smarter in grinding part of the catch holding the fixed keeper.

By the way, I saw those fakes made of various metal including steel, zinc and what tries to pass for nickel silver. They are usually unmarked, but some are simply marked with a RZM logo and others with RZM M4/119 just to name the most common.

                    Hi JP!

Can you please tell us what type of aluminum SS officer's buckle would not have any markings? I thought everyone was required to put their markings on their buckles at this time, (mid-period). Thanks! Chris

Since I didn't know which SS buckle Hardigan was supposed to send pics, and since I wanted to include the widest range possible, the aluminum I was refering to is the so called SS Officer prototype.

No, I don't and there is many other more interesting SS Buckles I do not have neither. Unfortunately for my own collection, this list is updated constantly
