Tropical Gebruder Schneider & '41 issue Osang Army buckles...

Hi guys. Just want to "show and tell" a couple recent pick-ups. 1st one's an early steel issue (circ. 1940) "tropical" Gebruder Schneider, Wien. The 2nd is a '41 pattern Osang with that lighter green paint. I'm into buckles these days, but would like to here some opinions from the floor. Thanks in advance.

      What's tropical in here??

      Just 2 standard Heer buckles.

Different shades of green can be seen on different buckle maker. No reason to have fantasm...

Anyone else have something more constructive to say on the 1st buckle?? Clearly, there are two layers of paint on the obverse...
BTW, Simon -I don't need to "fantasm". If you had any real balls, you might want to try sending crap like that to my PM...

If a buckle doesn't have a web tab I am not going to consider it tropical. I would not pay extra for a field painted buckle, you just never know when that second coat of paint was added. Kirby

Thanks for your response Kirby. Much more mature than the previous one BTW, My wife fulfills my "fantasm" Simon, but again, there's my PM box.

As far as the paint, it's got a pinkish hue to it, and doesn't appear recently applied. In fact the aging is quite natural, all the way round the circumference, just outside the "motto". I've seen a few, with the same paint-color scheme on this forum, which is why I went on it. Didn't cost me more than the 2nd buckle -which is a nicer design of the Osang IMO.

Ken, I think that you drink too much coffee.

You are no more able to recognize a joke.

Calling a light green buckle tropical is just a way to ask for additionnal bucks, usually used by dealers...

Ok, no offense taken on the "fantasm bit", however, my eyes are seeing two different shades of paint. I've been looking through some threads, but can't find the "pinkish hue type" for direct comparison yet. Give me time, at my leisure -unless someone has one to compare? Thanks in advance.
