    HJ buckle marking

Hello gentleman.Being new to the forum,a quick hello to all.
My question pertains to an Hj buckle.
The buckle is nickle.Looking at the reverse it is stamped on the right hand side with M4/49(steinhauer & luck, ludenscheid) and stamped under that marking is the steinhauer and luck logo.
On the left hand side is the rzm marking.Directly above the rzm marking ,the letters "KH" are stamped.Does anyone know what these letters stand for ?
I did a check of rzm catagories and found that "K" equates to"clothing retailer".and "M"equates to "makers agent. But im not sure if they apply to the lettering on this buckle.Could this buckle had been supplied or purchased through uniform outlets?
    Any help appreciated.regards
    Keifer!

    hello Keifer,

The KH numbers is something already known and I let Karl Ortmann to explain this to you. If when I am back from vacation (in August) there is still no answer I will find a way to provide it to you.

Best Regards and Welcome here !!

        Hello Keifer,

The KH code on your buckle is probably the initials of "KLEIDERENEINZELHANDEL"
        This means: Clothing retailer/agent
Those initials who should be followed by a number where used for a short period before the use of the RZM numbers at the same time or after the UE codes.

Is there a number following or under the KH code on your buckle?

I have the two following HJ buckles with this type of marking in my collection.

        PC RZM KH 28
Non-magnetic DJ (S) buckle with the steel HJ inset soldered with two points
On top of the S Sigel. Markings embossed in front of U catch

        AND

        P.S. RZM KH
        13
Engraved Markings in front of U catch

Those markings are uncommon on buckles but are not a rarity. Only a few manufactures of buckles used this type of marking.
I am currently looking to find out how many manufactures actually used this type of marking which also helps me to put names on not yet identified codes.

I am sure all would benefit from a picture of the marking of your buckle.

The KH is directly above the rzm marking.Following on from the KH lettering is M4/49(steinhauer and luck)directly under that is the steinhauer and luck logo. These markings are directly under the U catch.I may have to send you some pics via email and maybe you can post them for me.I dont have provision for directly posting pics.Regards keifer
