SS nickel buckle with strange eagle head

Hi,
I get this early SS nickel buckle today but I wonder because it looks different to my other early O&C SS buckles. The head from the eagle looks strange to me. Have someone seen this before?

This is a correct die variation that is incountered from time to time.
