DAK Buckle ????

I just found a desert sand buckle listed in "Third Reich Belt Buckles" written by Bob Evans in 1999 on page 64. And he states these are very rare and could be field painted. But in all my books they state the buckles would be made of steel and this one is made of aluminium. I have over 200 belt buckles and have sold many of of my extra's too you in the forum. the repaint looks vulgar. But condition of the metal itself is very good.
This buckle is worth of accurate paint removing, and being a good collecting item.

Question on this belt

when I first looked at this it screamed FAKE the belt is too narrow and thin not like any heer i have seen but I have never seen a wire catch like this it seems un likley that a faker would go to the expense of making a custom item like this.
so unlike the originals to try to fool collectors when good like original catches are common ????
