    Buckle Prices

Are buckles just dead as far as selling or are they just dead here on Estand?? I don't normally fool with these unless I happen to find them, so the first link shows the 4 buckles I posted several days ago on Estand at what I thought was a great price. They didn't sell and just sat there.

So, I needed to figure out about one of those buckles and was a bit surprised when I saw it on Sheas website. Now I know Bill has some prices that some guys here feel are at the high end of the price range, but when I saw this buckle and the asking price which was 50% higher than I wanted for all 4 of mine I kinda figure the buckle business is struggling or is this just a good representative of the whole market in general???

Hello. I think your buckles would have sold better If if you had individual prices They are common buckles so most buckle collector would already have examples.

A lot of Shea's prices are way out of line
with what other dealers are asking. He is asking mid 400s for water police buckles for example. That is at least $200 over market. Bill is one of the better dealers but he has a lot of buckles that he has had on inventory for years.

        buckles

No they did not sell. Decided to pull them instead of fielding low ball offers like I had.

If you price original buckles fairly by condition they sell themselves.

HJ and SA buckles are usually hard to sell, there are only a few collectors, and they already have tons of them...

The two others should sell if priced accordingly.

              Hello gentlemen,

Militaria dealers can ask what they want.
Buckles that you do not often encounter, ask they a lot of money.
It should also be fun as a hobby

                hit and miss

It's all hit and miss when it comes to selling. Not just buckles! One day it's hot, and you are rolling everything out. Another day, things sit like dogs.

Have patience. When you are desperate for money, that's when it gets bad. Sell at your leisure and sell steady. Don't wait till the last minute when you have massive bills and you end up blowing away your pile to make ends meet.

I'm selling slowly and steady, trying to trim down the collection to 5%. Have better use (family priority) for the money now than the stuff.

Sell, sell, sell. No other way to do it. Buy when it's right. This is not the stock market. Buying is easier than selling!
