    Grey painted WH buckle

    Hello all,
    I'm not a buckle man.
I noticed this one on E-stand, I have one similar, unmarked and all grey.

Could you help me with details?
    Late war?
    Thanks
    G.

Hi, yes, these are considered Heer, mostly 1943-45 enlisted buckles. The paint is a dark blue really.

        Thanks!
        This is mine...it's dark grey.
I know the deep blue ones...this is why I have doubts.
I have to complete a canvas belt to put on a minty tropical M43 (Italian Front)
I was in search for a steel-green painted one but didn't find it...
        Thanks in advance.

Your buckle is a late war Assman made buckle, IMO the paint is not period to the buckle

                THAT was my fear...
                Better stripe it?
