    NSBO buckle with belt

    Hi,

I remember, that there are around 7 variants of this buckle around. Is this one of the good ones? Maker marked "OLC 33".

    Thanks for comments

The variants usually stem from the roundle and how the hammer is held by the hand and the positions of the fingers. Other areas identifying the variants include the positioning of the NSBO lettering on the cog wheel. I believe the roundle looks to be a good one but I am hesitant to give the box a thumbs up as I have never seen a box stamped this way from the Overhoff firm.

Anyone else have a box stamped this way from the OLC firm?

No! There is indeed a die stamped nickle silver HJ known wich bears an additional OLC diamond but I don't like this particular marking on a brass box. I further don't like the roundel because of the pores in the surface (looks like a molded piece). In the end I can not find any coherent traces of wear and the whole buckle shows artificial aging in my eyes!

        Best,
        Guido

              Hello Udo,

any chance to have a prongs close-up ?

If that buckle has OLT type prongs, as I suspect, then you'll definitvely have the answer requested.
