    Mint or replica 1943 belt

    Hello,
    I just received this belt. I bought it as a mint belt. I noticed that the stiching is quiet sloppy, so I decided to check him out.

    I can see a faint 1943 marking.

        Did you blacklight the thread? iT DOESN'T LOOK like linen from the photo's. Linen should look like hemp rope..multi stranded but only 3-4 strands not dozens like nylon. I don't like the look of the thread or the light maker mark.It's not textbook IMO although there are some things that look OK.
        Blacklight might tell you something.

        What I see looks like nylon or cotton. Neither one was used on pre 1945 belts. Too fuzzy..linen is not fuzzy.
