    Nsfk officer's buckle

I would appreciate any help, comments on this buckle. I strongly believe this is a original buckle based on it's construction and details to the face-plate. Any comments would be much appreciated.

    thanks,

    Bill

I have found over the time that no one really likes to give these officers buckles a YES or NO straight up.

I think the problem arises in the fact that these are so scares not many people have actually head these in hand...

In comparison to this thread (which also didn't get a straight YES or NO answer) you can see the differences in the NSFK emblem. But as Ric stated the buckle construction look good.

As for which buckle is correct... I'm afriad I'm part of the group that's not willing to give a YES or NO straight up.

            Hello Bill,

I have never had this type buckle in hand although I know a collection where one resides and it has been there a long time. The construction of this buckle is sound and a proper representation of the Assmann firm; 3-rivet placement, proper reverse construction, trademark and placement of trademark. The only fault I see, and it is minor, is the crimp around the permanent keeper has been opened or pryed back from its original position.

For whatever its worth, the buckle you have posted is one I would have no issue in having in my collection.

Thanks very much guys for the responses. Dan, As far as I can tell this is a legitimate buckle in all respects. There has been one negative but on another forum and for the style of the Assmann logo whiich I find baffling as it is a perfect example of a good Assmann logo. In any event I will continue to check out both forums for more feedback.

              Thanks again,

              Bill
