Heer Late War Buckle opinions

Any opinions on this buckle other than the stamp on the leather there appears to be no marks on it. I can only make out the date on the leather and it is 1944.

Hi Brian!

The buckle looks good IMO, made by Hermann Arld of Nuernberg. There Could be a makers mark in front of the catch,(H.A 44) eventhough it might be vague.

I don't think leather tabs were being added to buckles in 1944. I like the buckle but are you sure it is 44 and not 41? Kirby

Yes, as said before, it's 1941 not 1944..

"H.A 41" marking is between the catch and the border of the buckle..

To me it really looks like 1944 but it could just be that it is old and the leather just aged and made it look like 44 instead of 41. I can not find any mark on the buckle itself.

The "HA41" marking should be in this area.
