Hi.............I can tell you that PAX is latin for peace and I guess it might be Italian? The constuction is smilar to a Third Reich buckle but I have never seen one of these before. Best Regards

        Pax/lex/jus

        Hello,
Interesting buckle you have there. The inscription is Latin and reads "Peace, Law, Justice". The buckle itself is a German WW1 private-purchase style and was made in either brass or steel. Your buckle looks painted. Is it magnetic? Could it be something to do with the court system, like a court warden or guard?
        Regards,
        Kevin

          Thanks for the feedback.

I agree - the trinity of declarations towards Peace, Law and Justice.

The construction of the buckle does have a German feel, although it does seem per se Italian.

          An odd one !

          Regards,

          David
