Newly acquired SS buckle, opinions needed

I just picked this up at a Thrift Store here in town this week. I think it's good but would like you guy's opinions. It looks like the piece that the belt hooks to was resoldered on at some point. It wasn't cheap ($75) but if it's real then it was a bargain.

My appoligies if im wrong, what a terrible Ges Gesch stamping on the inside of the buckle. The letters appear to get smaller as it goes along........ Wow, wouldnt have thought it was original. I stand corrected... Regards, Johnno.

The buckle is good and the weld of the catch is the original one

Well, I'm not an SS collector and I could certainly use $700 to help pay for the home repairs I'm having done. Anyone interested?
