Ever the question , what maker is it with the 1 ore 2 ?

For what stands the Number ?

I have never met a person that could give a 100% solution and definitive answer which manufacturer used the 1, 2 or whatever. As far as I know these numbers were not explained in old information or documentation.
My personal opinion is that "1" could be used by Overhoff from Lüdenscheid.

Here is the example I hold for comparison. I think Wilhelm is probably correct and I would bet $ on the maker being Overhoff. Perhaps both by O&C with "1" and "2" being the production runs and/or molds used?
