It is a good buckle but the brocade has seen better days. Buckle condition doesn't match brocade wear but pics are pretty limited. The leather tongue looks like it may have been resewn.

Thanks for the answer! I' agree with your evaluation.
I was just worried about the buckle itself, since I really don't collect/know anything about officers buckles. Being blackened on the reverse, it reminded me of the finish of some EM molded fakes, but good to know it's good

Can you provide a closer and clearer view of the mm?

It's not in my possesion and I don't think I'll take it either, since I don't really collect these.. but I could ask the seller for more pics if it's necessary?

No need if you are not going to pursue. The "A" maker mark on the reverse has me concerned as I look at it a little closer but better pics would truly tell the story.

Okay, no I'll skip this one.. as you say I'm still not fully convinced of its originality and as mentioned before there are other things of interest that I'll rather purchase But I am very grateful for the time you took to try and help me evaluate this one!
