I cannot comment on any web belt since it is not at all my field of interest. But for historical purpose, I can guarantee some SS wore buckles on web belts in Corsica (France).

I cannot comment on the buckle, but the webbed belt is original.

The SS utilised tropical equipment in Italy, France and Southern russia.

They were not involved in any of Nothern Afrika area of operations involving the DAK.

Keifer is correct - SS wore tropical equipment - there is photo evidence of that - including Ardennes. Most typically Eastern front, Greece and Italy.

There is a very high possibility the belt and buckle are a wartime set.
