Heer Buckle Opinions Please

Hi Gents, I have put this Heer Buckle up for review/comments, quite unsure about the leather tab, has this been added ? also the colour of the buckle, at first I thought it may be rust or tarnish, I am not sure ? look at the wear on the eagle & around the edges of the buckle, also the finish is really smooth...your thoughts Gentlemen, thank you for your time in advance
