what is your opinion on this "SS" belt ?

political mark but L4 not L2 ?

and not civil belt hook but "combat" one...

SS or other ?

Hello Emmanuel,

Two years ago there was a serie of fake SS leathers bearing also L4 number. They were originating in Germany. I cannot remember what number was after the L4.

As far as fact goes, by 1942 a maker would not be allowed to show his full tradename / trademark on a product ordered by / for the SS. But if it is a repaired belt, you may ask Wickie to check if he can provide a valid name for this L4 # . He has the list for 1938.
