I Bought This Combo Set Today, The Maker Is B & N And It Looks Like A 44 To The Right Of Marking, Did This Manufacturer Date Their Buckles?

Hello,
Berg & Nolte did date their buckles but it is probably 41, not 44 (the German '1' has a very long upper initial stroke). The latest date to be found on any buckle seems to be 1943.

your right numeral 1 is very similar to 4, and it is dated 41, what time period is the belt? the rear leather tab has been modified, being shortened, and thus probably had the markings taken with it. thanks
